This Easter, the Energy and Water Agency is inviting families to a day out at Chadwick Lakes. On Monday, 21st April, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, we will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt and a series of nature-inspired activities.

Starting from Fiddien Box or Slampa Bridge, the event will feature children’s shows in both Maltese and English. Children will also have the opportunity to meet the event mascots, Zoe, Dragon, and Osbert the Frog who will be present throughout the day.

In parallel, the Fiddien Box Interpretation Centre will be open to the public, offering insights into the history, biodiversity and water conservation efforts within Chadwick Lakes. Attendees are encouraged to explore the nearby Slampa Picnic Area, where government entities will be hosting informative stands. A central feature of the event is the Easter Egg Hunt, which invites children to explore the area, solve clues, and win small prizes.

To ensure ease of access, a shuttle service will be available from the parking area at Għajn National Water Conservation Awareness Centre to the Slampa Bridge area. Shuttles will run approximately every 30 minutes. Visitors also have the option to park closer to Fiddien Box.

Attendees are advised to bring packed lunches, sufficient drinking water, and to wear comfortable shoes suitable. As the activities take place outdoors, the use of sunscreen, hats, and other sun protection is recommended.

The event is free of charge and no booking is required. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
